This was the first Dredd strip ever to be published. Dredd's appearance was created by Carlos Ezquerra, and initially Mick was required to imitate Carlos's style. In the page below, the panel of Dredd was pasted from an Ezquerra strip.
As the next page shows, not only did Mick's own identity emerge, but he did more than arguably any other artist to define Dredd in the readers' eyes.
