"I love Mick's art, he's one of the few people who throw away any idea of conforming and forge ahead with his own unique style.

It was his stories from the early 80's that really opened up ideas and concepts that inspired me -everything drawn within his stories seemed to exist coherently alongside each other, a spacial reality was executed on the page which made for a very rich reading experience. All of his figures, though sometimes bizarrely exaggerated [ Dredds boots, anyone?], obeyed their own rules, therefore driving the story with great effectiveness.

I think the fact that he visually defined many of the characters he has worked on stands as a testimony to his strengths as an artist, continuing to inspire people with his approach.

Cheers Mick!

Jock's dynamic Dredd artwork has made him a huge hit with the readers - we was voted joint Most Talented Newcomer (with Frazer Irving) at this year's National Comics Awards. Jock is co-creator (with Andy Diggle) of Lenny Zero, back in the Judge Dredd Megazine this summer.
